You love horses and have always dreamed of being a horse trainer. Well, why not give it a try? On your VocationVacations® dream job holiday, you will be mentored by the husband and wife horse ranching and training team of Rich Ovenburg and Mary Folberg. They are nationally known for their work with the Peruvian Paso breed. You will lovingly work with this very special horse known for its unique, smooth ride. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned horse enthusiast, this VocationVacations® adventureis for you!
Set in the west hills only twenty minutes north of Portland, Oregon, Rich and Mary's Four Mountains Ranch could not be more beautiful with its views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood.
Mary and Rich will provide you with a full perspective of the job. You will do everything from working the horses with exercise, training, and riding to feeding, grooming and, yes, even cleaning the stalls. Depending on the time of the year, you may find yourself observing and learning about the breeding operations. A hard day's work can be rewarded by a beautiful horseback ride through the beautiful west hills on the Four Mountains Ranch trail.
The Horse Trainer VocationVacations® dream job holiday includes:

Reservation, Cancellation and Rescheduling Rules and Conditions: Full payment of the VocationVacations dream job holiday is required to make a reservation. A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacations adventure cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases. In the US, Grounded Nomads, LLC and VocationVacations holidays encourage all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling. In the UK, Grounded Nomads, Ltd and VocationVacations holidays must require all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling and provide verification of such travel insurance to Grounded Nomads, Ltd. |
