In honor of Valerie Agosta, her zest for life and her belief it is never too late to follow your dreams, VocationVacations has established the Valerie Agosta “Live Your Best Life” VocationVacations Scholarship. Valerie was an outstanding VocationVacations mentor who offered people interested in a career as a private investigator the opportunity to have a hands-on experience walking in her shoes for a couple of days.

We also encourage anyone going through a struggle in life or career to read Val’s wonderful, inspirational book, SPY MOM, that has was released posthumously on April 1, 2010 from Guideposts Publishing. You can purchase it on Amazon.

Valerie Agosta was an amazing woman. She lived life to the fullest and believed all things were possible. Her passion and enthusiasm were contagious and changed the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know her. Valerie enlightened, encouraged and empowered her “mentees”, instilling the belief that there are no impossibilities, just opportunities. Challenges and adversities can be overcome. That was the way Valerie lived her life always looking for new adventures and exciting tomorrows even as she was losing her fight with cancer.

“I am one of the many ‘vocationers” who benefited from Val’s generous mentorship and her willingness to share her knowledge and experience as a private investigator. Going blindly into my VocationVacation and hoping I would experience and learn this profession through real-life experiences, Val provided more than I ever anticipated. I had two action-packed days, and she never held back on any of my inquisitive questions. As a mentor, she was there for me right up to her passing four years after my VocationVacation. She will be missed.”
